Game: Draw the Shapes Challenge
Goal: Students will be able to describe a picture and draw it as instructed.
Target Vocab: diamond, oval, circle, square, rectangle, triangle, heart, star, hexagon
below, above, corner, top most corner, left, right, inside, in
Sentence Structure: Draw a circle in/above/below the square.
Materials:
1. printed shapes flashcards with names
2. pictures of at least 3 shapes together
3. numbers
4. whiteboard marker
5. whiteboard
How to Play:
1. Tell students to choose a partner.
2. Call a pair to come in front.
3. Student A picks a number and looks at the picture corresponding the number. He instructs his/her partner to draw what he sees.
4. Student B listens to student A and draw.
5. When they are done, student A shouts, "It's done!"
6. They have to finish drawing in 1-2 minutes depending on the level. 2 minutes for low beginners and 1 minute for middle or high beginner.
